SECTION 39440
39440. Upon the presentation and filing of the formation petition
and undertaking the department shall forthwith fix a time and place
for the hearing of the petition. The place shall be either the office
of the department at Sacramento or some place within an affected
county. The time shall be not less than 30 nor more than 120 days
after the presentation and filing of the petition.
